In the early 1980's Rev John Hamilton walked into my church. I was in my mid-twenties and leading a small church in Scarborough. John was an experienced Church of Scotland minister with a growing international ministry. John became my Spiritual Mentor and Father Figure. I have no doubt God provided John to help and guide me through those formative years, without him, I'm not sure I would have made it.

It was in those early days a desire was birthed in my heart to do everything I could to love and support pastors and leaders.  

I know that Church leadership, while immensely gratifying and fulfilling, can also be filled with discouragement and frustration. Many pastors feel isolated in their positions and unsure of where to turn for help and encouragement.

 

The passionate young graduate, placed in a position of leadership within a church, can quickly feel overwhelmed by the demands placed on him or her and some may even “burns out” from the day-to-day stresses of leading in the church environment. Even experienced leaders can hit a roadblock or a barren season and without support these periods can become a parking-lot rather than a season.

I have enjoyed working in many different contexts over the years, and below I have listed some of those environments.

Ø I have pastored four church's (in London, Birmingham, Yorkshire and Worcestershire) from smaller rural ones to large international churches.  

Ø I spent ten years as Principal of Regents Theological College and Director of Training for the Elim Churches

Ø  I was a member of Elim's  National Leadership Team for seven years
·    I have ministered in more than 35 nations
